Hey Beloved: I hope you're hanging in there...I'm writing this Good Friday Morning and I have such a stirring in my heart....
I know that any time we're in the midst of a trial, in the fire, or in the trouble it's hard to see our way clear some times. And...when we are people of faith, if you are a person of faith, all we have is our FAITH at times to pull us through. What a wonderful comfort and foundation to always be able to build on.
Whenever we have fallen, or missed the mark, or life hands us a gut hit that knocks the wind out of us.. Where else can you go for comfort and peace to steady your heart and your mind? I know that I would be lost and it's in those times that I always return to my FAITH in HIS LOVE FOR ME.
What can separate me from the LOVE of GOD? This rings so loudly in my heart and my spirit. I AM CONFIDENT in this ONE THING - HE LOVES ME and HE LOVES YOU..and HE HAS A GOOD PLAN FOR US.... Romans 8 tells us:
35 "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord".
This thought came to me this morning as I was in my quiet time: PERSPECTIVE MATTERS:
What if what you're "GOING THROUGH" that's an action word don't stop. And don't just go through but GROW THROUGH IT... (that's the coach in me...lol) What if what you're going through right now is not happening to you but FOR YOU? It causes us to reflect, and prioritize and really think about our lives and what we're doing and not doing. So #harvesttheGood.
Listen to what Luke 24:7 says -
"The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again."
It was necessary. To the outside world and even to his disciples it seemed like every thing had gone wrong. Nothing was happening the way they thought it should...UNTIL they remembered those words. IT WAS NECESSARY...it wasn't happening to Jesus it was happening FOR US. So allow the Lord to work in you and through you in this Resurrection Weekend...Yes it's may be Friday but it's a Good Friday... and SUNDAY IS COMING!!!!!
Have a Wonderful Resurrection Weekend. Miracles are happening all around us.
Remember faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Stay informed but not consumed. Be prepared but not scared. Honor those in authority and honor your neighbors and seniors to keep them safe. Be the light in the grocery store. Be that ray of hope and peace in the storm in someone else's life.
I am praying for you.
P.S. Be sure to take care of yourself...and let others take care of you too. Read a good book...start writing that book, play or program. Take a walk, stand in the sunshine. Sing to the top of your voice. Find your nourishing centers, things that feed your soul and your spirit. Give to a shelter, a mission or food pantry. Because this too shall pass and we need you ready to go when the doors of the church are open...(we are the church) and the lift of quarantine takes place...the world is waiting for you. And...God always has a plan.
